'My name is Vali and I live in the forest, near Daylesford, Victoria, where I design, cut and sew all of my garments. I am a self taught designer, my Mum and Nanna taught me how to sew when I was very young. Each collection I release consists of small batch production, made to order garments and one-off pieces, made from a cocktail of natural fibres, vintage, second hand & found fabrics, with a medley of machine and hand stitched techniques. I love the process of hand stitching and feel that the connection between hands and fabric is important to the energy of a piece of clothing, for both the maker and wearer.' - Vali
